The Province of Forlì-Cesena stands out for its dynamic and innovative business landscape, with over 46,000 active companies driving the digital transformation of the area. In the Municipality of Cesena alone, 11,530 companies operate—many of them concentrated in the Diegaro industrial area—mainly in the food, commercial, energy, wellness, and manufacturing sectors.
According to ISTAT, only about 1 company out of 4 (among those with more than 10 employees) has a “high” level of digitalization, measured across 12 ICT indicators. Confartigianato reports that 67.8% of small businesses reach a “basic” level of digitalization (at least 4 applications out of 12), a figure that is 2.3 percentage points below the EU average.
