“In Italy, the ability to grow and remain competitive increasingly depends on the speed and reliability of the network. Yet, for small and medium-sized businesses, the path to digitalization remains challenging: while nearly six out of ten families can already count on FTTH fiber, less than half of SMEs have this infrastructure. This is not a technical detail, but a real barrier that is holding back the growth and modernization of the national productive fabric. This is what emerges from the Survey on the status of FTTH connectivity of Italian SMEs conducted by the Italian Communications Regulatory Authority (AGCOM) and the Digital Innovation Observatory in SMEs of the School of Management of the Polytechnic University of Milan.”
