Here we are, it’s really close to #NAM2025, on June 11 at the Gazometro in Rome: as every year, a very important moment of meeting and networking for the entire sector of telco in Italy, but also a space of reflections and updates on the hottest topics of the moment.
This year the topic will be “Sixth Power – Internet, for better or worse?” and there will be several questions that will be tried to answer during the event: where is Internet going between the epochal revolution of AI, the dangers of international hybrid wars involving submarine cables and the race to space communications to propose satellite internet for all?
And yet, today the Internet has become a fundamental means for each of us, like electricity or gas.
What impact has it had on society? has it been able to improve it?
As every year it will be an opportunity to meet and discuss with operators, suppliers and stakeholders in the sector on models and technologies that are transforming the country’s connectivity. At the program of this edition, we at FibreConnect, will contribute with a technical workshop dedicated to innovative solutions of IP Transit, an opportunity to share experiences in the field and collect concrete feedback.
In our workshop, titled “Inside Connect IP Transit: anatomy of an NFV ecosystem serving SDN solutions Carrier Grade”, we will delve into the architecture and structure of the IP Transit service, with a particular focus on security, reliability and performance within an SDN Carrier Grade ecosystem. An opportunity to closely analyse the mechanisms that ensure the quality of IP transit and compare best practices, application scenarios and real experiences. By the end of the session, the world of IP Transit will be much less mysterious – and much more accessible.
