So much progress has been made in recent years to bridge the digital divide, yet there are still many areas without broadband coverage. According to ISTAT, in 2022 only 13.2 percent of SMEs with more than 10 employees had access to a connection of at least 1 Gbps. To support Italy’s business fabric, Tiscali Italia and FibreConnect, an independent operator offering ultra-wideband connectivity in Wholesale Only mode, have entered into an agreement aimed at providing high-speed connectivity to businesses in AIA areas, Italy’s Industrial and Artisan Areas.
